The Footwear Museum provides information about the evolution of the footwear industry.

Visitors travel through history to discover the origins of handcrafted espadrilles in the 19th century, and then learn about the footwear sector’s industrialisation with the construction of the first factories. This is when Elche became a purely industrial municipality.

The museum contains two rooms. The first explains the origins of Elche’s shoe industry, and the second displays the history as well as the traditional production processes of the Pikolinos Group.
